BIOGRAPHY

Marko Leandro’s story doesn’t begin in a nightclub, it begins on the asphalt. In 1999, after a life-changing motorcycle accident forced him to slow down, music unexpectedly became both refuge and obsession. With the compensation money, he bought his first mixer and turntables, unknowingly setting the foundation for a journey that would redefine his life.

What started with spinning breakbeat vinyls quickly evolved into a deep connection with electronic music culture, and by 2002, house music had completely taken over his soul. Born in Spain and raised in rhythm, Marko Leandro creates a sound that moves effortlessly between tech house, house, afro house, and melodic techno, always driven by groove, emotion, and human connection. His sets are more than performances; they are high-energy experiences where tribal percussion, hypnotic melodies, and raw dancefloor emotion collide. Influenced by his roots, Marko occasionally weaves flamenco textures into his productions and live performances, a natural extension of his upbringing as the son of a professional flamenco singer.

While many artists dream of leaving everything behind to pursue music, Marko actually did it. Before fully dedicating himself to electronic music, he built an impressive filmmaking career in the United States, working for over five years at NBCUniversal / Telemundo in San Diego, California, where he earned four Emmy Awards for his creative work. But despite the success, the call of music became impossible to ignore.

In 2020, Marko stepped fully into music production, channeling decades of musical passion and storytelling into his own sound. Since then, his tracks have consistently climbed Beatport’s Top 100 charts, accumulated millions of streams across digital platforms, and gained support from international DJs and respected record labels throughout the global electronic music scene.

Today, Marko Leandro stands as an artist shaped by contrasts: cinematic vision and underground energy, flamenco soul and modern club culture, resilience and reinvention. Every set, every production, and every performance carries the same message…”music has the power to transform pain into movement, and movement into connection.”
